What do we like about it?
The lastest version of the Firefox Mozilla browser has been released. At Sensible Development, we quite like it, but why? Here is a run down of the features that we think make it that little bit special: Some of these features are new and others are an improvement of existing plugins that have become standard on Firefox 2.0, many of which have been created by the Firefox community WOT Analysis
- A great tool that is very powerful. It gives you details about the websites you are viewing. Sites can be added a trusted list and these serves to remove warnings. - alerts that warn you that the website you are viewing might not be safe. Faster fox
- A plug in that provides faster loading of the browser and pages for easier interaction
Weather plug-in
- A great plug in giving information about the weather in the country and location you are in. RSS feed
- It does what it says on the tin. RSS, stand for "Really Simple Syndication". This tool manage which RSS feeds you subscribe to and tells you when those feeds have new content.
- A real favourite and almost staple fayre for browsers these days. Continue to view many pages at the same time through tabbed browsing. Pages can be opened into multiple page tabs, you can iterate through them as you require information on each page, rather than opening up a new browser window.
Download status bar
- rather then having lots of small things running around your screen a status download bar is placed at bottom of the page and it is easy to see the progress of all the downloads that you are making, less forms and screens provides better management. Debug facility
- this is for the geeks, but they really help provide granulaity when atemptin to solve HTML or scripting problems on a webpage. - JavaScript error tracking and checking facility
