The following outlines the general content management elements of our auction software. This includes the customisation we can do for your home page, and how you can make a feature of certain lots, auction events and news:
Content management
- Content management for general website pages such as About, Contact and Help pages. Other pages can be added too, to reflect the service being offered.
- Home page can be custom built to have what ever is required on there. A good example can be seen on the home page of the Buy Once Give Twice auction website, which has a detailed page offering featured lots, news stories and other information.
- Featured lots – highlight valuable or unusual items for sale
- Featured auctions – highlight a particular overall sale to the bidders.
- Latest news and featured news articles
- Document and PDF uploads for lots (such as further detail about the lots for sale), news and general site usage.
- Set your own terms and conditions that have to be accepted before users can bid on the site.
- Categories – lots and news can be categorized in to sections
- Tagging – lots and news can be tagged using key words.
User registration and management
- Registration- users register with mandatory fields such as email address, telephone number and address
- Email addresses verification – users have to click a link in an email sent out to the supplied address
- Users have to agree to your terms and conditions of the site prior to registering
- User profile page: user can edit their current details
- Password reset/reminder
- Users opt-in to email marketing campaigns capture
Enterprise edition features
- XML data feeds – these can be used to send data to external applications and sources. E.g. streaming lots to third party sites – such as the company’s intranet site
