There are a number of reasons why auction websites need to take payments. Not only do winning bidders need to pay for items, but they may also be asked to pay listing fees. There are a number of ways in which we can intergrate with payment gateways. These are payments methods we support along with the options we can provide for custom integration
Paypal
We provide integration with Paypal as part of our standard platform. This is particularly useful as auctioneer can then use this to distribute funds to sellers after taking a commission. It also have a low cost of entry and is a good place to start.
SagePay (formerly Protx)
This is offered as an advanced feature for enterprise customers or can be added to the standard edition for an extra cost.
Checkout process
- Check out for single items
- Delivery address and separate billing address can be provided
Enterprise features
- Automatic invoice generation when lot is sold. This can be downloaded as a PDF by the user.
- Multiple item checkout process
- ‘My Account” management for users to check what items they have won, which ones have been paid for and which items are due.
- Integration with payment gateways other than Paypal.
